Added a map of Los Angeles County showing the various
Sheriff's Stations scattered about the County. It does not
include the many Service Centers which act like sub-stations.

Other County Badges
Added nice picture of a very early and rare Detective badge from
the District Attorney's Office. Thanks to a friend of E. Godfrey.

First Woman Deputy
Added a new page dedicated to Margaret Q. Adams. She was
the first woman Deputy Sheriff in the Los Angeles County and
the nation. She served from 1912 until 1947 at age 72. She died
in 1974 at age 99.

The popular Fox Reality Channel original series returns with
"The Academy. LASD Class #368." The show follows the
recruits from day one throughout their training to become Los
Angeles County Deputy Sheriffs. The image shown on the
website is the cover of a promotional folder, containing bios of
the staff and a DVD of the first episode. The folder also came
with a poster of the same image measuring a whopping 2' x 3'.
The first series followed Class # 355 with some of the same staff
as the new series. This series should be watched by anyone even
thinking of applying to the Sheriff's Department. It is a primer
on how to succeed in the academy.

Added picture of an old Constabulary hat piece which I just
acquired along with some Marshal I.D. cards.
New picture of Biscailuz and a re-election pamphlet from
1954.
A new fake "Blackinton" Marshal Lieutenant badge too.
With the transportation prices going up for gas and air fares, I
wonder how the turnouts are for the various shows around the
country. Email me with any comments or news along those lines.

Badge/Patch Shows
Added a new button which links to this page. I'm starting with
the Sixth-Annual California Law Enforcement Memorabilia
Show held in San Luis Obispo and sponsored by the California
Law Enforcement Historical Society.
Anyone with pictures from other shows, anywhere, from now on,
please submit as large a picture file as possible to me via email.
I will keep adding to this page as I get material.
